Forster, Mid North Coast
Where it all began in 1973....

.... Led astray at a very young age, Doin' the Pippie Twist! ...with 'the' best memories...

although he released his 1st catch, Gary and his 1st keeper bream didn't leave each other's side, remaining on a hand line all day! Gary learnt given the heat, it's always better to release than be released, by the smell, particularly after a drive from Forster to Maclean. Put it back Kids!!

Forster, where it all began for our founder and where at the age of 5 Uncle Ronnie taught him how to tie a knot, feed a bait and catch his first bream. But more importantly, how to put it back and sustain our fish stocks for future years. A lesson to be learned by all young kids today. A lesson to be passed on to as many people as we can muster!

It's was some 30 plus years since, but we went back to where it all began and gave Forster a health check, in memory of Uncle Ronnie. Good news for Ronnie, our locals and tourist community have kept it in great condition!

On freshly caught live beach worms, a catch and release of 10 Bream, 2 Snapper and 2 thumper Whiting in one session, certainly evidence that Ronnie's haven is still just that. We're sure he still keeps an eye on things for the rest of us, and sure he still very deliberately brings a smile and good ol' belly laugh to all those that had the privilege of coming into contact with him.

To you Uncle Ronnie, your Life Balance Positive Values and to the lessons you gave me to ensure the Future Of Fish! ... GJ

Where Can I Stay?

We can recommend a top level apartment at Beaches International...

Breathtaking balcony views of the sparkling ocean, incredible sunrises, awe inspiring sunsets and playful dolphins. All at the doorstep of some great boating, beach fishing and swimming. Only a short walk from the Forster breakwalls, where we saw dolphins torpedo along its banks and jump out of the water, only 2 metres in front of us!

Beaches International is superb, with clean, spacious suites, underground parking, pool and all the modern amenities you need. Very efficient service from hosts that work hard to ensure your stay is an absolute delight :)

How Do I Get There?

By car it's a short break from Sydney, join the Pacific Highway Motorway just before Hornsby, travel over the majestic Hawkesbury River and only 4 and a half hours drive brings you into a piece of natural tranquility. Take the first Lakes Way Tourist Drive Exit (3km's North of Bulahdelah) to enjoy Seal Rocks (part dirt road) and Bluey's Beach along the way. You are now in the Myall Lakes National Park region.

Or, if you just can't wait to get there, quicker still take the turn off at Failford 4km North past Nabiac and travel south on Lakes Way back through Tuncurry to Forster.

Still to this day Forster has retained its sleepy, yet stunning natural looks, while playing daily host to dolphins in their dozens and to thousands of thriving local fish.

Our boating, fishing and diving marine environments on this part of the NSW coast remain as pristine as ever, even though hundreds of thousands have made Forster their home away from home during the holiday season over the years.

Perfect for that annual getaway, amazing reward for those star employees, a great place for a conference and a great place to learn the respect of our most beautiful natural treasure, our marine environment. Do it with your friends and family and let the memories last forever....

What Is There To Do?
Fall asleep in the sun on the white sands of Forster beach, recline and watch the dolphins from your balcony, lay back and fish with your eye's closed, dive the local marine environment, or just drift and sail away from everything...
