How Do I Get There? Qantas has regular flights to Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast) airport from Australian capital cities, a short drive from Noosa of around 45Km. We suggest a Hertz hire car from either Brisbane (approx. 90 min drive) or Maroochydore airport's, to make the most of attractions and to explore all the endless wonders of the Noosa coastline and surrounding countryside. When traveling from Brisbane International or Domestic airport, head north along the Bruce Highway (Highway 1) until you reach the Eumundi turnoff (Highway 12). Noosa is around 24 Km's from here and is well sign-posted.
What Is There To Do? A north facing beach will welcome you to warm sunlight reflecting from clear ocean water renowned to our beautiful north Australian east coast. Slip, slop, slap with the sunscreen and soak it up away from it all, adjoined by Noosa Hill behind you and views of the National Park, north shore and the sands that lead to Fraser Island. Hip restaurants in your beach gear with world class delicacies and a fine glass of wine. Interrupted only by the escaping sound of the ocean. If you're wanting exercise in natural surrounds, try a walk or run in the National Park, along the long stretches of beach and of course swim and surf to your hearts content. Noosa also has an array of local gyms with aerobic classes on offer and a relaxing massage following. Boating, swimming, sailing or windsurfing is an option in the Noosa River, which flows into a freshwater lake located well within the Cooloola National Park. Birdlife here is simply captivating. Perhaps wonder into Noosa's luscious tropical rainforests and wilderness parklands. Don't go past breakfast and coffee at Season on the Beach, simply outstanding service, the perfect way to start your day in sunshine coast heaven. Activities! Beach 4WD, camel rides, everglades cruises, learn to surf, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and even crab tours, did we mention golf, canoeing, hand-feeding dolphins, offshore fishing, whale watching (August to October), day tours - Eumundi markets, valley rattler steam train, local wine and macadamia nougat tasting. Or a self-drive tour to Tin Can Bay (about 50Km east of Gympie) popular with the rare indo-pacific dolphins - hand feeding each day 8 to 10am at the Norman Point Boat Ramp, Glass House Mountains, Caloundra to Point Cartwright, or Maroochydore to the Hinterland!

Try the cocktails and 'colourful characters' at Ricky Ricardo's, right next door to the Noosa Wharf. Fishing Tips - Tailor, Tarpon and Trevally will give you some exciting memories on light gear when fishing the Noosa River. Surface Poppers would be preferred for the Trevally. Make sure you increase your chances by fishing dusk or dawn in the summer months when the prawns are running. The week up to the full moon should be generally the most productive time. Don't be surprised to get knocked off by the odd 40cm to 50cm+ Mangrove Jack north of Lake Cooroibah along structures in the narrow snaggy stretches, or in and around Woods Bay, Munna Point and Weyba Creek. Big Tip - Watch the teeth when releasing!
